Last saturday we went for a speed visit to Amsterdam, to attend the "stranger festival" awards ceremony as three (!!!) films we produced at the Burundi workshop in august 2008 were nominated. And yes, one of them won, in the "one minute of freedom" category. It's Anicet Miburo's movie about a child warrior that comes to a dead end. Unfortunately Anicet wasn't there to receive the prize (a video camera, that hopefully will be sent to him) and the least we can do is give him some space (and applauds) among our dishes.

alien in my window

we have just moved (temporarily) to friends' place, where we will spend the coming weeks or rather months, and we found out we have company! our own private 80's alien is peeping in owr window every evening. it must try to tell us something.

we arrived in albania on sunday the 5th, when albania was celebrating its new status as NATO member, officially declared just a day before, on april 4 2009. dozens of thousands gathered in the skanderbeg square, but the off stage acts were not less spectacular.
